While the botanical name is Bambusa Boniopsis, this bamboo is commonly known as Jade Goddess bamboo.
Jade Goddess is a clumping type of bamboo with a maximum height of about 4 metres. This is well-suited for inner Melbourne suburbs, but it doesn’t really like frosty areas. This bamboo has a delicate appearance with a slight weeping habit and, makes a great hedge or screen and can be trimmed to shape. You can also plant this bamboo in a pot or a planter for smaller gardens.
