One of Melbourne’s most significant and fastest-growing bamboo with large tropical leaves. Deep green foliage has smooth clumps and thick dark green culms (stems). This bamboo is commonly known as Speedy Screen due to its fast-growing nature and the ability to screen out unwanted views or create a valuable wind/sound break.

 A clean appearance with an erect growth habit and high-quality edible shoots. The Culms (Stems) are solid and great for furniture making, construction or crafts. Large mature Culms (Stems) can also look great in a vase for decoration. Oldhamii loves the room and can grow up to 3m wide if allowed. This is also a versatile bamboo as it can grow in just about any soil type. Ideal for our farmers and people with acreage to define areas, block or look great in the garden.
