Rhapsody Bamboo
Botanical Name: Himalayacalamus hookerianus
Description: Rhapsody bamboo is native to Nepal. The common name is Blue bamboo. This would be the nicest colourful bamboo globally, with many colours that stand right out. Rhapsody bamboo is one of our favourite bamboos we propagate at our nursery, and it would be our rarest bamboo. Rhapsody bamboo can be planted as a hedge or as an ornamental specimen. this clumping bamboo is a must in any garden. It has long green leaves that make it very Tropical. Attractive clumping bamboo, very upright tight clump. A robust selection of the Blue Bamboos. Not for sunny locations or hot climates. If pots are your only option, suitable for a vast round pot.

Care instructions:
- Rhapsody bamboo is a relatively quick-growing bamboo and can reach full height in about 2 to 3 years, depending on conditions and the size of the purchased pot.
- The morning sun is best for this type of bamboo.
- Protect from hot winds. Not for sunny locations.
- Water well and keep moist when planting until well established.
- Keep well mulched.
- Do not overwater; keep well moist.
- Fairly drought and cold tolerant once established.
- It can be pruned to any height and pleached (remove the lower leaves).
- Rhapsody is suited to large round or large square pots.
- Fertilise regularly to promote vigorous growth and more vibrant leaves.
- Light Frost Tolerant
