Description: Dwarf Whitestripe has origins in southern Japan. Dwarf Whitestripe is a colourful ground cover bamboo with bright green and white leaf variegation. The leaves are approximately 12 cm long. This bamboo is very dense and tough and can be trimmed to any shape. Dwarf Whitestripe does well in full sun; however, the leaves will remain brightly variegated throughout the summer if provided with afternoon shade. Maintaining and cutting back in early spring will stimulate new growth, keeping this bamboo looking great all year round. Whitestripe can be planted in pots or planters.
White Stripe bamboo is a ground cover spreading type of bamboo that acts similar to running bamboo but not as invasive.
Root barriers are recommended to control where this grows; however, we have held Dwarf Whitestripe with only one sleeper, and it has not escaped our walkway.
