Goldstripe (Albo Striata) Bamboo
Botanical Name: Bambusa multiplex cv. albo striata
Goldstripe or Albo Striata Bamboo is native to China, and is an excellent upright, tight clumping bamboo. However, the clump is a more open clump to Gracilis. If you like Bambusa textilis Gracilis, then Albo Striata is similar but more affordable. Albo Striata has a bigger culm than Gracilis, can also There are many other beautiful features and uses of Albo Striata. Great for privacy screens or can be used as a feature plant in your garden. This bamboo would be one of our top 5 bamboos—dark green with white striping on the lower culms. Edible shoots. We call Albo Striata the Mother of Gold Stripe. They are two different bamboos.

Care instructions:
- Albo Striata bamboo is a rapidly growing bamboo and can reach full height in about 2 -3 years, this will depend on the size of the purchased pot.
- Water well and keep moist when planting until well established.
- Keep well mulched.
- Fertilise on a regular basis to promote vigorous growth and more vibrant leaves,
- Fairly drought and cold tolerant once established.
- Can be pruned to any height and can also be pleached ( Remove the lower leaves
- Loves a drink including a good rainfall.
- Not suited to Small Pots or Small Planter Boxes
- We recommend large pots only
