As the name suggests, this bamboo is native to the Himalayas and, is a lovely soft, drooped leaf bamboo. The mass of long slender green leaves makes this plant a great backdrop giving a solid green contrast to any garden. To add to the elegance of this bamboo, it has a small, slender clump with narrow cascading culms. It does well in cooler climates like Victoria and tolerates moist and shaded areas.
